IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Therapy

IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light Therapy. This is a type of non-invasive light-based therapy that uses high-intensity pulses of light to target and treat the inflammation of the meibomian glands. Calming that inflammation in turn improves and aides healthy tear production.

This service would require at least 4 treatments for best results

Autologous Serum Tears

Autologous serum tears are eye drops made from the patient’s own plasma: a natural healing agent in our own bodies. These drops enable the cornea to heal itself. This treatment requires the patient’s blood to be drawn. Depending on the amount drawn, the supply of serum tears could last 9-12 months of daily use.

BlephEx

A procedure that provides long-lasting relief from dry eye & blepharitis, both of these being types of inflammation. It is a deep cleaning of the eyelids, exfoliating and clearing debris from the edge of your lids and eyelashes.

Punctal Plugs

Punctal plugs are placed in the drainage system of the eye (puncta), to prevent the tears from draining too quickly. This treatment requires re-application of the plugs.
